What happens after you book the retreat?

You will receive a booking confirmation and we will be in touch regarding your dietary requirements and any other needs. Four weeks before your retreat, we will send a welcome pack with all the details, including what to bring.

How can I reach the venue?

Nearest train/bus station is Poole or Salisbury

Nearest airport is Bournemouth.

We will provide free transfer service from Bournemouth or Poole.

Do I need any equipment?

All materials are provided.

Wimborne St Giles is a quintessential Dorset village, nestled in the wooded valley of the River Allen within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. At its heart lies a Grade I listed Georgian parish church and the magnificent 17th-century St Giles House, set within a 5,500-acre estate of rolling parkland, a serpentine lake, and meandering woodland trails.

We focus on nourishing your body, mind, and spirit with wholesome, delicious meals to enhance your retreat experience. With all meals, fruits, snacks, tea, and coffee included, we can cater to most dietary needs.

What time should I arrive and depart for the retreat?

Arrival will be 4 pm and depart around 3pm on the final day.

Do you serve alcohol on this retreat?

Usually, we do not serve alcohol on of our retreats. However, for this pre-Christmas retreat mulled wine will be offered.

Warm frittata with roasted sweet potato, spinach, and feta.

Meal 1 – A taste of the Winter Garden

Black-eyed bean and seasonal roasted vegetable warming bowl, served with a chard and green herb smash, cauliflower couscous, and a slaw of spring kale, apple, cabbage, and toasted seeds.

Meal 2 – Creamy Nut Butter Ramen with Greens and Wild Salmon

Nut butter Ramen- made with pak choi, tender-stem broccoli, edamame, rice noodles in a creamy broth.

Practitioners

Sacha Pratten – Host and curator

Sacha has a degree in Psychology, and spent a decade as a music teacher before transitioning to hosting. In 2017, she founded Vivre Retreats, creating spaces where people can retreat and recharge in desirable locations. Passionate about food and nutrition, Sacha focuses on providing wholesome, vibrant meals to support wellbeing. A travel enthusiast, she loves exploring new places and facilitating meaningful journeys. Sacha’s true calling is bringing people together in welcoming spaces.

 

Naomi Pratten – Host and curator

Naomi, Sacha’s daughter will be co-hosting this retreat. She recently completed her degree in Sustainable Fashion at the University of Leeds, where she developed a strong interest in conscious living and creative expression. Naomi, who helped host our first-ever retreat, has a natural gift for nurturing others. She’s deeply passionate about mental wellbeing, holistic health, nutrition, and meaningful human connection. Her grounded presence brings warmth and ease, helping guests feel truly cared for and seen.

 

Ellie Loves – Breathwork practitioner

Ellie Loves is a breathwork facilitator passionate about helping you reconnect with your true self. Through breathwork, movement, and meaningful conversations, she inspires self-love, compassion, and the courage to embrace life’s messiness. Ellie’s approach helps you navigate emotions with humour and resilience while staying connected to others. Her sessions offer healing, insight, and joy, reminding us that we’re never alone – we’re all in this together.

 

Lottie Mayland Embroidery

Lottie Mayland Embroidery was born in 2020 during the first lockdown, when life slowed and creativity flourished. While staying at her childhood home, Lottie began experimenting with a sewing machine and vintage linens. What began with homemade napkins – each uniquely embroidered to tell them apart – soon sparked a love for hand-stitching. Inspired by her parents’ kitchen garden and vintage embroidery styles, Lottie turned her passion into a small business creating personalised, made-to-order pieces.

 

Gilly – Wylde Green Kitchen

We’re delighted to be joined by Gilly who opened Wylde Green Kitchen 2016. Her vibrant, health-giving vegan meals are crafted with heart and intention. Gilly brings her signature style, rooted in compassion, creativity, and seasonal ingredients, to the retreat table.  Her food is a celebration of delicious healthy eating – designed to leave you feeling well-fed, and deeply cared for.

 

Lindsey – Dorset Forest Bathing 

With a background in wildlife conservation and over a decade of experience, Lindsey brings deep knowledge of how nature supports our wellbeing. As a certified Forest Therapy Guide, she leads grounding, science-backed walks that gently reconnect us with the healing power of the natural world.

 

Andrea – Mumstuary

Andrea, is the founder of Mumstuary, who creates meaningful spaces for mothers to connect, reflect, and restore.Her work is grounded in the belief that mothers deserve nurturing too, and when women come together in supportive, non-judgmental spaces, profound connection and healing can unfold. Whether hosting intimate circles, guided conversations, or reflective workshops, Andrea leads with empathy, warmth, and presence.Andrea brings a rare gift for creating emotionally safe spaces where connection flows with ease.
