Our October Favourites

We thought we’d share our favourites from last month. Simple, nourishing dishes, skincare and rituals that bring comfort, balance, and connection to the seasons.

This month, we’re starting with the breakfast we’ve been loving most: Ginger & Apple Porridge. Perfect to enjoy on a slow morning at home, or to take on the go in a little jar. It’s just as delicious the next day as overnight oats.

With the mornings turning crisp, this warming bowl has become a gentle ritual, a way to slow down and begin the day with something that feels good.

We’ve also been enjoying ginger & cinnamon poached pears this October. A light, naturally sweet treat that works beautifully for breakfast or dessert. Simple to make, nourishing, and full of autumnal warmth.

In the mornings, we’ve been loving a coconut matcha, a creamy, energising, and a gentle way to start the day.

Throughout the day, we’ve been enjoying tea time rituals: brew a warming cup of ginger and cinnamon tea, sit, breathe, and savour it. According to Japanese tradition, ginger warms you from the inside out, making it perfect for cooler days and mindful pauses.

Why we love it:

  • Coconut matcha: provides antioxidants, gentle natural caffeine, and healthy fats for sustained energy.
  • Ginger: aids digestion, boosts circulation, and warms the body naturally.
  • Cinnamon: supports blood sugar balance and adds comforting, warming flavour.

As we move into November, the days are cooler and darker. The perfect time to slow down, nurture yourself, and embrace little moments of warmth. Here are a few simple rituals we’re loving this month:

As we approach the festive season, one of the most important gifts we can give ourselves and each other is compassion.

We all mess up! We say the wrong thing, forget to reply to a message, overcommit ourselves, arrive late, or snap at those we love when we’re exhausted or stressed. These are all part of being human.

With the physical and emotional demands of the season, the pressure to get everything “perfect,” and the social obligations, it can all feel overwhelming. That’s why self-compassion, and compassion toward others, is so healing.

Compassion doesn’t mean understanding every reason behind someone’s behaviour or justifying every mistake. It’s about forgiving ourselves, letting go of perfectionism, and remembering that we are human. This festive season, let’s embrace that imperfection is part of life. Compassion is a gift that nurtures both the giver and the receiver — and it starts with you. ❤️

Join us on our next retreat and experience how simple, mindful rituals such as eating together, walking in nature, creating, and resting can become anchors of renewal. It’s all about returning home to yourself with a sense of balance.
