There is something truly magical about stepping into a space where music, nature, and creativity come together. This year’s We Out Here Festival delivered just that. From soul-stirring music to tranquil spots by the lake, playful spaces, and and eclectic, colourful corners, there’s truly something for everyone.
The Sanctuary

We spent much of our time in The Sanctuary. An area where wellbeing and creative expression took centre stage. Stepping in, felt like entering a world carefully designed to nurture the mind, body, and soul. The energy was vibrant and contagious, everywhere you looked, people were experimenting, learning, and connecting in ways that felt deeply special.
It offered the perfect space for pause and presence. You could wander through, take a dip in the lake or go paddle boarding, soak up the sounds of music, chat with fellow festival-goers, or simply relax in the sauna, hot tub, or under the warm sun. A variety of nourishing wellness foods were on offer, from acai and rice bowls to fresh juices, smoothies, and vegan gelato. Everywhere you looked, there was a genuine sense of wellness, community and shared joy.
Art Workshops
This year, KinShip Club led an inspiring takeover with their ‘Craftwerk Programme’. Bringing together an incredible lineup of workshops, led by a diverse group of talented creatives.
The workshops were undoubtedly a highlight of the weekend. Here are just a few of the creative experiences we had the pleasure of capturing:
- Liv Bell guided festival-goers through lino printing, creating beautiful, personal art pieces. One participant was so inspired she’s taking the practice home to continue!
- Alice from Studio Eden offered life drawing sessions that combined mindfulness with playful self-expression, encouraging participants to slow down and truly observe the human form in all its beauty.
- Cheza Lucina’s aura craft workshop was enchanting. Participants explored colour, energy, and intuition in a hands-on way. Later in the day, Cheza also brought her energy to the Carhartt WIP stage as a DJ!
- Four Acre led a no-dig gardening session, offering a grounding experience where participants could plant flower and vegetable seeds to take home, along with a beautiful bouquet they had created themselves.
- Freya Granow hosted a community weaving space, bringing people together and reminding everyone that connection is at the heart of both art and wellbeing.
We were lucky enough to chat with some of the hosts and participants to hear their thoughts on the Sanctuary and the workshops. Stay tuned, we’ll be sharing videos soon so you can hear directly from everyone about their experiences and favourite moments!
We Out Here Festival isn’t just about music (though the line-up was incredible!). It’s a reminder that festivals can be nourishing for the soul, offering space to explore, create, and connect in ways that leave you feeling inspired long after the weekend ends.
If you’re looking for a festival experience that blends wellbeing, creativity, and community, We Out Here is not to be missed.
We can’t wait to go back next year, bring on 2026!

🪴 Local Spotlight: Four Acre
Four Acre Farm, Ringwood, is a thriving community-led project built around the principles of no-dig gardening and regenerative living. Run by Mollie and Kate, they grow chemical-free produce, nurture a mixed-fruit orchard, and create wildflower meadows and habitats that encourage biodiversity to flourish. Beyond growing food, they bring people together through inclusive workshops in everything from herbcraft and cooking to vegetable growing and habitat building—helping participants connect with nature, each other, and the soil. At the heart of it all is a belief that as we care for the Earth, the Earth cares for us.
Here’s to nurturing our wellbeing at festivals!
